Two-point perspective worksheets

These worksheets are intended for use after students have mastered my one-point perspective worksheets.

Begin by walking your students through the first exercise with boxes. Afterwards, they should be able to do the others with a little guidance. The worksheets get progressively more complex. Click on the images below for individual PDFs.

    Wow! These are great!
I can’t remember how I stumbled onto your blog, probably searching for lesson plans or the like.
I’m currently in grad school, in the middle of my student teaching (or gearing up for the bulk of it) at an arts middle school. I worked as a graphic designer for six years before deciding to give it all up and become an art teacher. Your site cracks me up and inspires me! I am starting a perspective/line unit this week with my middle schoolers.
Anyway, I find your site interesting! I’ll definitely be checking it daily!

    Thanks, Jeannie!

It sounds like we have a lot in common: starting out in graphic design and finding a higher calling in arts education. Glad you stopped by!

You are my Hero! I have used most of these 1 point & 2 point lessons from the internet as well but you made them into terrific worksheets! I wish I had found you earlier this school year but I will be using your worksheets next year! Thank you so much for being so generous to share your work. This will be so much more efficient and clear than my drawing on a big pad on an easel and walking the students through it while they work in their sketch books. Cheri

I stumbled on your website searching for better H.S. level lessons on the dreaded 2 pt perspective.
Having been a photographer prior to teaching digital art and draw paint one, I never had to learn this.
Soooo, I think your worksheets are great and your website/ wikispace??

I am also trying to get my wikispace website designed and running.
    Thanks again!

I have my 8th graders draw cities in two point perspective but have also seen it suggested that they draw floating dice. It makes them think about circles in perspective too.

Awesome. Am in the beginning of 2 point perspective teaching. First year teaching High School coming from elementary art. Kids don’t want to listen (because talking to each other constantly is sooooooo much more interesting – ugh!) to instructions and was looking for a pictorial…and here it is. Muchos gracias. Gonna visit your site often.

Thanks so much for sharing your lessons. Some art teachers are so posessive (and afraid? of what?) to do this. YOU are terrific – and brilliant

    Hi Dawn,

You my dear, are a lifesaver. I’m in my third week teaching, as a brand new teacher and completely swamped. I have been attempting to tackle class sizes of 40+ students for 6 periods, BTSA, T4S, and after school supervisions in addition to lesson planning and grading.
I’m teaching perspective to my Art 1 students and your worksheets have saved me an entire weekend of creative engineering to create my own.

You have a brilliant website. Thanks so much for sharing your creative energy.

Thank you so much for sharing these! I’ve been teaching Graphic Design for 6 years, and it has been that long since I taught Fine Art. This year, I’m teaching both, and I find myself a little rusty with the perspective lesson…and very, very pregnant. So these resources were a lifesaver! Thanks again!

Thank you for these! I was a photographer and graphic designer for 20+ years until I was laid off. Somehow I found myself as an Art Instructor at a private elementry/Jr High school. I have been scouring the internet and the few books I find to try to teach the kids the basics of art. Being self- and on-the-job taught myself I’m learning right along with the kids. Sites like yours are such a great help! Thank You!

Wow…these are great as we have to have a mastery check on new learning everyday in the program we teach at our school (this includes related arts. Sometimes it is a difficult thing to do; these worksheets will make great mastery checks as I can have the students label one of each with the hl, ol, and vp for each type of perspective and label each type. Thank you for sharing!
